Per other post(s), this property is undergoing major construction, with no mention on Hilton's website, nor on the Diplomat's own site. There are, however, a growing number of complaints on social media from guests who arrived at the property, only to discover the disruptive work going on. When guests can't use the large pool area, due to falling debris from the building, that is not just incidental refurbishment work taking place.

Supposedly, according to social media, the work is to be completed by the end of 2016.

Their 14 day cancellation policy could be an issue for guests booked toward the end of the year, who have to continuously check on the status of the project and rely on/trust the word of resort representatives regarding the construction.


An outside company has been hired to redo food/beverage, with new casual spots now open.
