I think you're right on this as goalie-sis (Navy) rec'd one last November on a Y ticket (as a Gold on a transcon but I digress) and although the reservation was made 2 weeks in advance, it didn't show as upgrade eligible until it ticketed 72 hours before (and being the good brother and keeper of the goalie-family MP accounts and reservations, I swooped in and clicked thru and cleared it )
