Even the hard product is strange, some large suites have huge corridors and small rooms with bland decor. Peninsula Paris opening was a total mess. If you like classic decor FSGV or the Shangri-La are far ahead. Even PH Vendome, MO, La Réserve, Plaza Athénée, there are so many better options!
In the past few days we tried again all Peninsula restaurants => l'Oiseau Blanc for Tuesday dinner, Lili for Sunday lunch and le Lobby / la Terrasse yesterday evening. I must admit that they have hugely improved. All meals were excellent, reasonably priced, with efficient and kind service. I was so surprised that I checked room prices and it seems the deluxe suites rates have been divided almost by 2, may be because Paris is empty or because they realised 4kEUR was far too expensive for the product they offer. Should I visit Paris as a tourist I would give it a new try. I still love La Réserve and the Shangri-La but Peninsula is clearly catching up.
