Most of the hotels has a VIP list. Room type doesn't mean anything. You may have guest got upgraded to suite, or VIP only paying a standard room.
For sure room number is irrelevant, but hotel employees familiar with layout can deduce information from them.
A true luxury hotel provides the same high level of baseline service to all guests, but of course special attention is often discreetly given to regular and/or suite guests, etc...
