Tried an Indonesian restaurant recently that deserves a mention.
Sie Joe is on Gravenstraat 24, behind the Nieuwekerk. It's a small place, not too fancy, just a clean friendly atmosphere. But the food is every bit as good as the higher priced places. We had the bami soup, loempia, krupuk, and sate ayam. All was excellent, very fresh & the price was lower than expected. We went back a second time & tried the Bami / nasi goreng. Again, it was better than expected.
Closed Sundays, 020 624 18 30 for res.(I have never needed a res, but it is small so use your intuition.)
