Today visitors from all over the world enjoy the hearty beers and delicious Bavarian foods within the tradition-laden walls of the Andechs Bräustüberl.

Bavarian meat lovers and beer drinkers should go there. Typical Bavarian food: Gegrillte Haxe (Crisply Grilled Knuckle of Pork), Weißwurst (White Veal Sausage), Leberkäs (Meat Loaf „Bavarian style“) and beer from Andechs brewery (brewing since 1455).
The church on the Holy Mountain of Andechs is worth a visit. A tour throungh Andechs Brewery is possible, too.

You can reach Kloster Andechs by public transport to Herrsching by subway and then by bus or by walking 40min uphill. An alternative and much more beautiful way to Kloster Andechs is by boat on the Ammersee (and then by bus or walk uphill).
