Over-rated Michelin 3 star restaurants

Hello All:

I have been lucky enough to try several Michelin 3 star restaurants in France and after having eaten at them, I am beginning to wonder if some 3 star restaurants actually do not really deserve the accolade.

I thought that George Blanc in Vonnas, Buerehiesel in Strasbourg, and to a certain extent Paul Bocuse in Lyon to be rather over-rated while Pierre Gagnaire, Guy Savoy, Troisgros, Le Cinq, Le Louis XV and Taillevent seem to exemplify the 3 star tradition.

While I can understand that much is subjective, do you find certain Michelin 3 star restaurants really resting on their laurels?

Any thoughts are appreciated. . . .
