Why
The "Korso" (chef: Reinhard Gerer) and the "Steirereck" (chef: Helmut Österreicher) compete about the best restaurant in Vienna. I went into the Korso in 06/2002 where I enjoyed a 4-course menu (price: >80EUR).
The dinner itself was an experience - antique ambiance, superb service, wonderful wines, fantastic food (presentation + taste). As usual in restaurants with such a high quality, the variety of choice is less, the quantity is small (you don't go into such a restaurant to eat big quantities - the taste of the food dominates) and the quality is high. Also high are the prices.
There's no need to wear a suit and a tie - but the "clothes should be better". Reservation recommended.
