I was lucky enough to discover Gina's not soon after they opened over 10 years ago and have been a loyal customer ever since. It is one of my "must dos" whenever I am back (as I am right now as I write this)
The two dishes I use to judge Korean food in Hawai`i are meat jun and fried mandoo. Meat jun, is marinated beef in a spicy teriyaki sauce and deep fried in an egg wash. Mandoo are dumplings like potsickers, filled with ground pork and veggies. A lesser Korean place with serve soggy or bland meat jun and frozen, premade mandoo. Gina's does neither.
Having to feed six hungry adults last Fri, I ordered a family pack and an extra side of meat jun. We did out best to polish out as much as we could. The portions are very generous.
