Pearl Vietnamese – Close to Hilton end of Waikiki

Looking for a namesake Chinese seafood restaurant along Ala Moana Blvd in Waikiki during a rainstorm was not fun as traffic was a nightmare and there were no parking spots to be found, we could not find it anyways. Taking a side road we spied Pearl and it was open and more importantly there were open tables as it was not on the major drag.

Very friendly service

Had both the shrimp and pork spring rolls (non-fried). Shrimp was good, pork was so-so.

For entrees wife had the Ginger Chicken which had loads of Ginger, LOADS, but we like it that way. Good dish, but I'm sure there are better.

I had the BBQ Pork & shredded pork with rice noodle. EXCELLENT!

Fresh lemonade is made there and has an INTENSE lemon flavor. Very good drink.

Total bill was under $20 for VERY fresh and VERY good food.

Do yourself a favor and walk only ½ block more past the crappy Todai Eatery and get to Pearl Vietnamese.
