Why is the missing paint disconcerting? Paint has nothing to with safety or the ability of the aircraft to fly or not.

Not the same aircraft, the aircraft in the incident you referenced is FIN237 (C-GKOE) which is an A320, AtlanticXpat said the pic was of an A319.
