None of us could understand why anyone who has that level of status would even need an escort to the gate - except for the case of late/tight connections.
The logic being that in order to achieve SE or higher, the person has had to have flown quite a bit and therefore has an idea of how to navigate an airport. So, given that people have airport navigation experience, why the need to have an escort through security and to the gate - other than the case of time constraints?
I'm not, nor likely will ever be, a VIP. Not a celebrity, and not a C-level exec of a fortune-100 company. As much as I might enjoy dating Anna Kendrick, that's unlikely to happen - and as a result I'll never have such access.
The point is, that experience does exist and has a process attached to it. It would be nice to tap into it as an SE for those special occasions. Like I said - once a year would be more than enough for me.
