Wild Ginger is quite upscale but it is possible to eat for under $50 is you order smart. Many items are over $20 but stick with the standards. The fragrant crispy duck is popular. Several quality satay offerings (boar, pheasant, etc.) but expensive. The menu features pan-Asian cuisines: Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Malaysian. This is certainly an event destination and for whatever reason you will probably not find a single Asian eating there. Flavors are eloquent and bold but spices in most dishes are toned down for American tastes. While the atmosphere is dressy casual it is more dressy/dark clothing on weekends.
