T & Cs technicality for awards ticket?
I am looking at booking an awards ticket (for December) using Qmiles, which I have only done once before. Since there is a chance I may need to cancel this flight, I was looking closely at the T & Cs for my specific awards flight. From reading various threads on this forum, it sounds like you can get your Qmiles back if you cancel far enough in advance. I can also call, and I'm assuming they will tell me the same thing. It just worries me a bit the way the T & Cs are listed. (I tried to attach a screenshot but can't get it to work). But basically, the T & Cs below are listed using bullet points. The line "Qmiles and Cash collected is forfeited" is listed as a separate point, NOT a subset of the refund within 3 hours info. I am assuming it's just a formatting issue, right? Maybe this is me worrying too much, but does anyone think there's a chance QR could use that to try to refuse refunding miles in the event I would have to cancel? As written, technically it appears as if that is a stand-alone statement that could apply to all scenarios.
Has anyone canceled an awards ticket recently and can verify that there haven't been any changes to the PC program that would limit a person's ability to cancel and get Qmiles refunded? Thanks!
