Who cares air what.. could you see the other side? Did it match?
The whole engine cowling should be red on the Rouge aircraft, just as the whole cowling should be cyan (toothpaste, minty, whatever you want to call it). When a spare part is needed they seem to throw on whatever part they have available whether it matches the livery it not.
