I don't disagree. I was actually quoted $360, and it wasn't until I saw the posted transaction that I realized the "It is $360 to upgrade" was actually a "$310 and a $50" transaction. But I wasn't on the phone with AA, it was corporate travel who was my liaison.

I'd call for an explanation, but Dave definitely knows what's up and he says it's correct, if as you said, unfortunate.
