I stay at Fairmont Tremblant for 2 weeks every winter. However, I've never stayed there the rest of the year, so my perspective will be limited to the winter months.

Their gold lounge is small, but very cosy; one of my favourites.

For best rates, I always book 10 to 12 months in advance. I find that once you reach the end of the winter season, the rates for the following winter start creeping up. I see that for a week in January 2017 that I had booked back in March, the rates are already substantially up. I have a gold room reserved, for a nightly rate of $271 flexible CAA/AAA rate. That same gold room on the website today, for the same week in January, is showing at $444 BAR and $355 Prepaid is the lowest I can see. If find this property to be fantastic value compared to what I pay on a ski trip at Fairmonts Banff/Whistler/Lake Louise, where I end up paying 3 or 4 times as much per night.

The hotel itself doesn't have a lot of restaurants, but the surrounding village has tons of food options. The outdoor spa pools at Fairmont Tremblant are very good. If you're there for skiing, the access to the hill is great, as it's ski-in and ski-out (assuming you plan your final run properly).

They did some gold room upgrades in the past year that I don't particularly like. They've upgraded the TVs with huge wall-mounted units, which is fine, but in doing so, they removed a lot of dresser space. I tend to have a lot of luggage on ski trips, so if you have a lot of luggage, you can request that they send up an additional small dresser to your room.

As for Montebello, I've not stayed there before, but I'm actually staying there in two weeks time before moving on to Le Chateau Frontenac, so I can report back at the end of the month.
