I find it fascinating, how Rikssvenska and Muuminsvenska diverged over the centuries. Muuminsvensk vocabulary (afaik) is partly more archaic and partly contains lots of Finnish words illegible for Rikssvensk speakers.

The use of "avec" is simple to explain - the person "avec vous" became shortened somehow to "avec" meaning someone accompanying you. It's heavy Finnglish though in an English text.
