It's interesting. For a laugh I was reading the terrible Barclay reviews yesterday. The glossy website proudly announces it is rates IIRC 3.5 out of 5, which would obviously convince you to book.
I can see IHG stopping the 'book direct' campaign as once you see some of the online ratings it is likely to put you off ......
