Instead of one of the parents going to coach so that the girlfriend can sit up front, why doesn't her boyfriend bribe the sibling to take the coach seat? I would hope that a "well brought up" girlfriend wouldn't accept the swap with a potential future father/mother-in-law to have one of them sitting alone in coach. The whole thing sounds very awkward to me.
