This is 99.9% correct

BA will carry musical instruments up to 45kg and quite large dimensions if given 24 hour notice.

I'm not sure what instrument is that heavy, a double bass in a case is only ~25kg. Perhaps a very large didgeridoo, or some specialised drum made of solid wood.

But there are almost no other exceptions.
