There seems to be a marked increase on FlyerTalk of people setting themselves up for poor experieneces. From people refusing to make their legitimate needs known, to not proactively asking for elite benefits (such as hotels) and so on.
Airline flights are shared public accommodations and shared spaces, and the staff should not be denied knowledge of a nonstandard situation, it only takes a brief, discreet word to do so.
There is nothing shameful about autism, and I understand the desire for "normalcy". But if the desire is for perfection from others, one needs to set realistic expectations.
