Even on the kind of short routine flight that we here have taken hundreds of times we ultimately depend on the bravery and skill of many people to ensure our safety. Not all are as glamorous as captains, first officers or cabin crew and perhaps sometimes I forget how urgently important they may be.
I hope there will be a thorough investigation and that the safety of his colleagues may be better assured in the future.
