That's exactly my point. Auto lock bins for takeoff and landing or auto unlock only at altitude when seatbelt signs are off. Will also prevent careless people from accessing luggage during turbulence (even when seatbelt signs are on). Being hit by a falling piece of luggage (happened to me on a non EK flight) is not nice. I was lucky and just had a small bump which settled with ice provided by cabin crew.)
