While I absolutely sympathize with your family and its plight, I don't see that the FA did anything wrong here. Just as you asked AA/the FA in this thread to look at things from your perspective, so too must you look at things from the FA's perspective. Somebody already mentioned the increased awareness of child/human trafficking. Then, there are also the people who are asleep/distracted by movie/etc. and then complain to the FA/airline that they weren't served a drink/meal/etc.
