Images of people with their luggage is disturbing. I'd love just once to see a reporter call out someone they are interviewing who happened to have their luggage with them.
My passport, wallet, ipad mini, and phone are kept in an ebags Piazza day bag that stays connected to me until we reach cruise and then reattached a couple minutes before landing. It's small and doesn't get in the way
If you feel the need to retrieve your stowed luggage, be it in the overhead or under your seat while evactuating, please be ready to feel my foot on your face as I exit.
If you're quoting one of the photos above, that was a different evacuation - BA in Las Vegas, last year. I don't think this incident would have given anyone time to try and grab their bags.
