I wrote back a polite note, pointing out that given OF compensation used to be 50k, and malfunctioning IFE used to be 25k this seemed rather modest ... Received a further reply that informed me Alex, the new CEO, has cut compensation for everyone for any issue. Given the recent enhancements on board (in F: amuse bouche abolished, bistro menu abolished; in J: second meal downgraded significantly; in W & Y: second meal becomes a mini mars bar and a cup of water), very much hope this is not a sign of things to come ...
