The question regarding passports, above, indirectly raises an interesting point. I would certainly focus on getting off the plane. But what if you find yourself stuck in Dubai (or any) Airport with no passport due to surviving an aviation accident?

My passport is invariably in the front pocket of my carry-on roller, btw. I think I'll rethink that policy.
