Air France Union Delay Anti-Privatization Strike To Nov 5

A group of nine unions at Air France have decided to postpone a strike against the government's plan to privatize the airline until Nov. 5 from Oct. 24.
The change was made to limit traffic disruption at a time when a lot of school children are preparing to go on holiday, a spokeswoman at Confederation Generale du Travail said.

Union representatives will meet Tuesday to decide on the extent of the Nov. 5 strike, she said.

The French government has said it wants to trim its stake in the airline to around 33% from 54%.
