I made a reservation through Costco Travel for a pick up of Alamo Mid Size SUV at Aug 6 12:30 am - Aug 9 5:00 pm. I changed my flight and want to pick it up at Aug 5 5:00 pm. Looking at my reservation, the rate is mentioned as 2-day rental $x and 2-day rental $x for total of 4 days. Costco does not handle changes and they would ask me to make reservation and cancel previous one as the cancellations are free until pick up. Alamo was unhelpful both customer service and the airport location. They did not find an available car to pick up at 5 PM - as their system is not showing any. I am guessing the car I booked should be available there for pick up. When I made the reservation, the price was showing up same even when I selected 5 PM Aug 5. The prices are high now and I don't want to make a new reservation .

Anyone has experiences picking up car early by 7 hours at Alamo? This is Bozeman Airport.

I made a backup reservation with Expedia - Hertz. I did not provide my credit card. When booking, Expedia said I could cancel it for free. The confirmation email I received from Expedia says, I should cancel the day before. I'm not sure how they would charge me if I don't cancel and don't pick up at all.
