They wouldn't give us our bags back at MDW during the recent epic IT meltdown. We were told they would continue on to our destination. If we never made it there, we were told they would eventually be sent back to the city of origin. When I arrived in LAS on a different carrier the next day, three non-stop Southwest flights from MDW had already arrived, but my bag had not. Baggage Services told me to "check back later." I made a trip back to the airport that evening and found my bag in one of the big piles.
