Anyway, now I'm a little worried about my decision. At least in economy we’d be able to strap him down. Actually I have no idea how he’ll behave. He’s been an angel on all of our previous flights but he’s not walking yet. He probably will be when we go to Bali.
So, Bad decision? Any experiences?
We recently flew Club World with our 15 month old daughter to Orlando. She (and we) were absolutely fine! We made up a pack of toys / jigsaws / books that were all new to her to keep her entertained. We took lots of snacks and collected about 4 cartons of pre-made formula after security. The key to it is toys, milk and food. It keeps them quiet. On the day flight she slept for 3 hours (out of 8) and on the night flight she slept 7 hours (out of 8 hours). If you take the 2 centre seats in Club World (E&F) then you've got good privacy once the screens go up. A good thing to bear in mind is that although you can hear your baby being a baby (the occasional cry, whimper, laugh, giggle, snore) that virtually no one else can as the engines drown it out. I know this because we couldn't hear the baby at the other end of Club World! I hope this helps but don't be worried - it's fine and certainly a lot better than being in Economy.
