Thanks!^
Exactly the info I was looking for!

However, is there no other option on oneworld? In particular would HKG using CX be a legal routing? It might take less total time because you don't need to allow so much time to change airports.

Remember, you must retrieve any checked bags and take them with you between airports, then check in and do airport security (plus passport control for international flights).
It is partly a "club points run" and partly because my folks and myself are really getting tired of the food with CX J. LOL My parents want to try something new!

If we go the way of flying to both TYO and SEL, both CX and JL would net us 80 club points. On the return, we would be doing GMP-HND//NRT-MNL and it would be on the 787, which is a plus for my parents as they would like to experience the 787. And we are all curious about the new international terminal at HND.

If we decide to go to Okinawa or Fukuoka in addition to TYO, the schedules and club points accrual are better on JL than on CX.

But taking the comments above into consideration, I think we will likely decide on breaking up the segments so my folks don't end up being too tired.

Overall, I started this threat to see how convenient it was transferring between HND and NRT. And I know there are many web sites out there saying there are bus and rail connections, but I wanted to know how people felt using them, and the two guys previously quoted above gave good insights about using the bus and rail.

I was very curious how the HND-NRT transfer worked as I see it very often on booking options with both JL and NH, and some options are even higher on the list of suggested flights compared to say a JL to JetStar connection within the same airport (e.g., NRT). I wasn't sure if the reservations system was just doing this blindly or it was because the HND-NRT vv transfer process was vastly improved.

Thanks for the insight guys!
