I noticed the posts here are a few years old, but I have a question about 3rd party tickets that I think fits into this thread. Using Momondo, I found UA fares IAD-ZRH ($486 rd trip) that I cannot find on UA's site. (UA fares avg $1200.) When I click through on Momondo, it takes me to TravelMerry.com (one of several booking agents to choose from) to purchase it. This looks like a normal travel agency. It shows UA as the carrier. Is there any way to tell before purchasing if UA will award PQM for this fare? I'd like to use as a mileage run to accrue PQMs and lifetime miles (I'm not worried about PQDs). I'm not sure if this falls under the "unpublished or opaque fare" clause. Anyone know? Thanks!
