Tony's Italian Deli - Edison Park - Chicago
Tony’s Italian Deli
Tony’s is located in the Edison Park area of Chicago.
It is a small yet bustling Italian market.
They make the best mufaletta in Chicago IMO as well as many other Italian deli items. The mufaletta was supposedly created by Central Grocery in New Orleans. I’ve had the sandwich there and it is delicious, it consists of thinly sliced salami, mortadella and ham, a layer of provolone cheese, and a helping of Sicilian olive salad on a round, sesame seed roll.
Tony’s also sells Italian Beef at $3.99lb and you get the au jus/gravy as well to go with to make your own at home, YUM.
I think the meatballs are quite good as well.
