We are pool people and not beach fans. If you are a beach person, the room comes with a reserved beach bed. Not sure how much those fill up though.

Sometimes on Trip Advisor, you will hear people complain about the towel games and people reserving poolside beds at 7 AM. We did see a lot of people poolside pretty early here. With the swimout suites, you don't need to worry about that. You have your own private area with 2 loungers right outside your door.

We also aren't fans of making our own drinks in the room, but there were bottles of higher end liquors in the room. Johnny Walker Black, Ciroc and Grey Goose Vodka among others.

It is also easy to take a post-dinner swim if you want. Simply down the stairs and into the pool.

As I mentioned before, the drink service was also regular and kept us with plenty to drink. We've now had swim up suites on our last 3 trips to Riviera Maya and think we are hooked.

For the right price they are worth it.
