On my LHR flight last night a guy moved from 2K to the upper deck just because there was a baby in 4E. Some people are seemingly just allergic to children, almost have a complex. I can only imagine what might have happened if he had been on my last LCY flight when a toddler was really not having a good time. Did anybody leap up and throw a strop? No. One guy got moved before TO i think, which was lucky as it later transpired, but it was all very quietly done with no huffing or tutting.

BTW the baby slept all night and did not make a sound.

Yes I don't see that stressing out the parents is going to make the flight any better. Children tend to pick up on their parents emotions, stressed parents tends to lead to stressed children. Last time I sat behind a child, he was a bit over wrought, and I spent 10 minutes playing peek-a-boo, he had some food and fell asleep. Happy ending all round.
