La Unica Foods & Cafeteria – Cuban, Colombian, Mexican
Just found a yummy Cuban sandwich place near my current worksite.
La Unica is a predominantly a grocery store that features Latin American items, however in one corner of the market is a small 20 seat cafeteria that sells a mixture of Cuban, Colombian and Mexican dishes.
I was in a hurry and needed a “portable” meal so I ordered the Cuban sandwich, which at La Unica consists of smoked ham, roast pork, Swiss cheese, pickles, mustard, mayo, served on crusty flat Cuban bread. Quite delish.
I did grab a menu to go and on it are such entrees like: Cod done Creole Style, Ox Tails, Roasted Pork, Stewed Turkey Leg, Beef stew, tacos. Most items above are seved w/blackbeans, rice and yucca w/mojo sauce. I will go back and try some entrees.
