I'm impressed really, you did all the right things, with one possible exception: because you knew you would want to re-enter T5 fairly smartly after getting landside, the "on the hour" exit route would be better than the transit to T5C, since as you can see, Conformance can just keep saying No. The work around, which they should have tried on the first rejection, was as you saw, swapping to another seat and back again. On this occasion FLY was innocent, this has been a problem with Conformance since the building opened.

Particularly impressed you asked about the bags on the airbridge, not many people know that the staff member there is controlling baggage.
