Having looked at some examples I have, the tracking number appears to be 6 digits rather than 5 digit. If they are all numbers remove the first 4 digits which are the airline code (0257 if OS).

If your bag arrived before you why do you need to track it?
Great, thanks! I didn't know the format.

Oh, because my bags didn't arrive on my flight, so I was wondering where they were. It would have be useful to know (before even getting off the plane) that they were there, somewhere off to the side, and saved me an hour (waiting for the bags to finish off-loading, not finding them, waiting in line for the UA agent).
