I've rolled two old 401(k)s over to Merrill Edge. Both times I was told that if I wanted to deposit it in person, I'd have to go to a Merrill Lynch wealth management office; it could not be done at a BofA branch.
However, ME was more than happy, both times, to send me a prepaid UPS envelope for the deposit.
