Dinner by Heston Blumenthal London
Just back from a lunch at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal.

The room in the Mandarin Oriental is fine, you have a Hyde Park view (more a view over a Meadow). The interior is modern.


At Lunch the offer the full menu and a 3 course Prix fix menu at 40 GBP. I took the Prix fix.


Bread (no further Amuse Bouche)


First course: Tomato Salamagrundy


Main course: Cured Salmon


Dessert: Strawberry Crust


Post Dessert (some kind of chocolate Pudding)


I had high expectations and still like the concept of traditional dishes. All dishes were good, but I missed the totally wow-factor. Considering it was in the top-10 of San Pellegrino list I know at more than 10 better restaurants. I also donīt really understand the 2 star rating, in my eyes 1 star would be adequate (same with Hand and Flowers). Neverless a nice lunch.
