The MTR continues to run in a typhoon. Occasionally there are issues with power lines on the more exposed above-ground sections (mainly on East and West Rail), but the core sections (Island, Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan, Tseung Kwan O lines) all carry on, albeit at reduced frequency sometimes.

To be clear, most T8s are just a somewhat windy day by the standards of the rest of the world. T9 & T10 are somewhat more serious, but rarer.
