I used to commute regularly from SFO to northern Angola. 2 hours to the airport. 2 hour wait at the airport. SFO/CDG. 20 hour layover. 8 hours to LAD. 3 hour layover. 1 hour flight north. 1 hour layover. Helicopter to final destination. Worked out to close to 2 full days to get there. About 12 hours shorter on the return because of shorter layovers.
