When you complain about one dish, undercooked for example, which neccessitates it being removed to the kitchen. I hate it if the waiter/waitress leaves the other diner(s) with the choice of either eating theirs or letting them go cold whilst waiting for the dish to be replaced.
The correct thing is to remove all dishes for the offending course and return fresh dishes when the compaint is dealt with. Atfer all if you are with company you go out to a restaurant to dine together, not to eat separately.
