Do you think I should wait to apply for the Ameriprise gold card until after I've close the regular gold card or just apply now? I've never had a problem getting approved, but I wonder if my chances would be better if I drop a card before adding another. Fwiw, I have applied for nine Amex cards over the past 16 months, with the most recent being 2 in May (auto approved for all).
