Short answer, yes, Air Canada's customer service and overall corporate culture are basically appalling. Where there is smoke, there is fire. AC's attitude towards its customers is disgusting, and gets worse by the day.

Unfortunately, that comment perfectly sums up Air Canada's attitude toward its customers. They view all of their customers as bitter whiners who should be ignored. The only thing management cares about is banking that annual bonus. Customers can go to hell (also known as rouge).

This is also true. Since flying on other carriers I've come to appreciate what a truly shoddy operation Air Canada really is. I've come to realize how badly their customer service compares. And I've learned that AC often delivers poor value, such as when I found out I can fly TATL routes in premium economy on other carriers for the same or less than what AC charges for its basic Y seat. Since taking my business elsewhere, I really do see AC in a totally different perspective.
