You identified your worse experiences on NZ, but so far no answer as to why so many still dislike AC.
I'm trying to understand if the dislike for AC is so deep, that regardless of great individual experiences, the dislike and bashing continue.
Comparing my NZ vs AC experience, NZ was worse but AC is more frequent.
- travelling AC last year with the family we miss connected n YVR due to our flight from LAX being 10 minutes late. While we got out on the 19:30departure to YYC instead of the 18:00; our bags arrived on the 21:00 flight. I am 3/3 Having problems on an international to domestic connection at YVR.
- my NZ experiences had original flight cancelled and then having to attempt for six flights before getting onto the second last AKL-WLG flight and then not seeing my bag for 24 hours, courtesy of the AkL gate agent who I got into an argument with over priority standby as a *G pax.
While AC mitigation actions were better than NZ, I am involved in more inconvenience situations with AC. Further, I can't avoid AC like NZ.
