When I stayed at the WA last time, we paid extra for a Castle View room but found the noise from the road/bus stop outside was really disruptive.

Does anyone know if there are quiet rooms at the hotel, in a different part of the castle side, or would we need to make sure we're on the non-castle side? When I stayed before I was only Silver, so did we just have a bad room or does the hotel generally have noise problems? Having quiet to sleep is more important to me than the view, however if there are no quiet rooms I'd rather stay somewhere else no matter how much cheaper the WA is!
The new Carlton Hilton might be worth considering as well, if nothing else it may force the rates down at the DT and WA. Might be worth sticking to cancellable rates at all and hedging your bets.
A high floor room at the WA should be less susceptible to road noise, although road noise is the trade off for castle view. Quiet side gets you car park view!
