I think the worry is that while I travel round Europe, the middle east and Asia for work, I have had a few baggage problems in that route when visiting family. They will all be thinking about the Christmas my bag didn't reach Madrid and wasn't located till a week later on my last day. Despite my attempts to get them to hold it at the airport they attempted to deliver it as I was checking in to return home. It then followed me to London a couple if days later. I then had to post Christmas presents back to Spain which wasn't covered. The reason for the delay was they said lack of identification, that was the bag that lost the airline tag, my baggage label and the executive card was snapped off so the number wasn't legible. There was actually a fourth tag as it had one of those slide out tags which when I checked did have an up to date email and mobile number. So is that little saga is in the back of peoples' minds.
Apparently there was a no show and bags had to be unloaded so I wonder if it came off then, in which case it should follow on today.
I also think that travelling for pleasure rather than work, you'd be more upset at losing things you bought specially for your trip whereas for business as long as I have something presentable for the office, something comfortable for the evening and possibly a swimsuit for a pre breakfast swim if somewhere hot, I wouldn't care too much about clothes.
